OK You DJ collects minimal information necessary to operate the game:

• Player names / team names — entered voluntarily when joining a game room. These are display names only and do not need to be your real name.
• Game data — votes, scores, prompts, and song titles submitted during gameplay.
• Host accounts — if you create a host account, we collect your email address and a hashed password.
• Billing information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details (card number, billing address) are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number on our servers. We receive limited billing data from Stripe (such as the last four digits of your card and your subscription status) to manage your account.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not access your music streaming accounts, playlists, or listening history.
• We do not collect location data, contacts, or device identifiers.
• We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes.
• Players joining a game room do not need an account — no email or personal info required.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used solely to:

• Operate the game — display names, track scores, manage turns and voting.
• Authenticate host accounts for returning hosts.
• Improve the Service based on aggregate, non-identifiable usage patterns.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Game data (player names, votes, scores) is visible to other participants in the same game room during gameplay.

If you subscribe to a paid plan, your billing information is shared with Stripe, Inc., our third-party payment processor, solely for the purpose of processing your payments. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Game room data (names, votes, scores) is retained while a room is active and may be cleaned up periodically after a game ends. Host account data is retained until the account is deleted.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

8. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your host account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Players who join without an account can simply stop using the Service — no persistent personal data is retained beyond the active game session.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
